Development of Softball in Georgia Takes a Leap with WBSC Europe-Supported Clinic

The Georgian Baseball and Softball National Federation, with the support of the WBSC Europe Development Fund, organized the "Softball Pitching Coaching Clinic" on September 14-15, 2024, in Tbilisi, Georgia. The clinic aimed to address the growth of softball in the region by inviting a professional pitching instructor to help develop the next generation of coaches and players.

The clinic was led by Judith van den Berg-Frijters from the Netherlands, an experienced softball pitching instructor. Over two intensive days, the participants, including softball coaches, former players, and young athletes, engaged in a comprehensive training program that covered both theoretical and practical aspects of softball pitching.

This initiative represents a significant step in the effort to revive and promote softball in Georgia. By focusing on improving the quality and quantity of both coaches and players, this project lays the groundwork for a resurgence of softball in Georgia, contributing to the development of the sport throughout Europe.
