On Saturday, April 9, 2022, the nominations of the WBSC Europe Baseball and Softball Commissions were approved during the Executive Board meeting. The two disciplines' Commissions will oversee all matters for Baseball and Softball, guided by the respective Vice Presidents and supervised by the Executive Board. This includes WBSC Europe Competitions for Baseball and Softball.
The WBSC Europe Baseball Vice President Petr Ditrich will chair the Baseball Commission consisting of six members: Mr. Oleg Boyko (UKR), Mr. Frantisek Bunta (SVK), Ms. Darja Grimšic (SLO), Mr. Stephen Lesfargues (FRA), Mr. Marco Riccardo Mannucci (ITA), and Mr. Jorge Miqueleiz Cortés (ESP).
The WBSC Europe Softball Vice President Gabriel Waage will chair the Softball Commission also consisting of six members: Ms. Daniela Castellani (ITA), Ms. Conny Chwojka (AUT), Ms. Petra Čizmić Pokrajac (CRO), Mr. Mike Jennings (GBR), Ms. Sophie Khidasheli (GEO), and Mr. Kostis Liarommatis (GRE).
The newly elected WBSC Europe Executive Board assembled at the WBSC Head Quarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, for the first time in April 2022 to approve the leading structure of Baseball and Softball in Europe.
