The Astros Valencia from Spain have won the 2022 Men's Baseball Federation Cup in Brasschaat, Belgium. On Saturday the Astros shut out the Brasschaat Braves 10-0 in the final to earn a berth for the Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation in next year’s Confederation Cup.

Valencia had already dominated the preliminary round, winning all four games. Meanwhile Brasschaat, the Diving Ducks (AUT) and London Mets (GBR) were tied 2-2 after the four first-round games and locked into a three-way tie, which saw the Braves coming out on top to earn a final seat against the Astros. The fifth team in the tournament, the Sofia Blues (BUL), finished the tournament with a 0-4 record.

The final was a one-sided affair as the Astros jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after two innings. They continued to reach the scoreboard in the following innings and ended the contest by ten-run rule after eight frames. Ricardo Hernandez went the distance, allowing just four hits in eight scoreless innings with six strikeouts. On offense Emmanuel Febles went 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI to lead the way.
