The WBSC Europe Funding Sub Commission presents "Soulball", a project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme through an interview with Milan Zonic, the project coordinator.

What is Soulball?
The Soulball project is designed to improve the mobility of baseball coaches, managers, and administrative staff in non-profit baseball clubs and organisations in the region of Southeast Europe, but also to foster social inclusion and interaction of youth, including vulnerable and underprivileged groups.

The goal is to strengthen the capacity of clubs in order to improve their organisation and operations, which will ultimately lead to attracting new members and facilitate the work with vulnerable youth groups.

How much time did it take for you to create the project?
I spent around 1 month preparing an idea and 1 month writing it.

How much did you receive?
The project was funded by the Erasmus+ Programme for €30.000.

What was the timing?
We applied in April 2020 and got approval in October of the same year.
The grant was sent to us in December (70% of the amount).

Was the process difficult?
Writing the project was difficult but all other things were smooth. The European Union Commission members are nice to work with as partners.
