History

Organised baseball has been played in Ireland since the late 1990s and Baseball Ireland was formed in the early 2000s to oversee the administration of play in the island of Ireland since the early 2000s. Ireland has entered a representative national team into European competitions since 1996. Baseball Ireland is the national governing body of baseball in Ireland.
