Rain Partially Disrupts Day 3 at the Women's Softball European Championship 2024

The third day of the Women's Softball European Championship began with Israel defeating Belgium 7-0. Italy continued their winning streak with a commanding 7-0 victory over Ukraine.

Spain secured a solid 5-2 win against Germany, and Czechia impressed with a 5-0 shutout over France.

The Netherlands maintained their perfect record, beating Austria 7-0, while Poland overcame Switzerland with a 10-3 score. Denmark also dominated Hungary with a 10-0 win.

In the evening session, Greece claimed a 7-0 victory over Belgium, and Great Britain displayed a powerful performance, defeating Ukraine 15-0. Sweden edged out Slovakia with a 7-4 win, and Croatia beat Finland 7-1. Denmark secured another victory, this time over Malta with a 5-2 score.

Unfortunately, the game between Spain and Austria was postponed due to heavy rain at the UVV stadium, preventing the teams from starting. The match has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 10:00.

In the game between France and the Netherlands, the score is currently 1-0 in favor of the Netherlands. Both teams held each other scoreless through the first three innings. France loaded the bases in the third inning but could not capitalize. The Netherlands managed to break the deadlock in the bottom of the third inning, scoring the only run of the game so far. The game was then suspended due to heavy rain. The game will be resumed tomorrow at 10:00.

In group X, the Netherlands (3-0), Czechia (3-1), and France (2-1) have secured enough wins to guarantee their advancement, regardless of the outcomes of the remaining games.

In group Y, Italy (4-0) is confirmed to advance to the Super Round, while the remaining two spots will depend on the results of the upcoming games.
