Spain wins U-18 European Baseball Championship 2022

Spain defeated the Netherlands 6-2 in a rain-shortened final in Brno at the U-18 European Baseball Championship in the Czech Republic to claim their first ever gold medal in this age category. Host Czechia captured third place ahead of Italy, while Germany finished in fifth and France in sixth in the final standings.

Final day at the U-18 European Baseball Championship in the Czech Republic on Saturday. The grand finale between the Netherlands and Spain will take place in the evening at 6pm at MBS Stadium in Brno. Earlier in the day the classification games are on the schedule as well.

Netherlands, Spain reach final at U-18 European Baseball Championship

Defending champion Netherlands and Spain have reached the final at the U-18 European Baseball Championship after winning their respective semi-finals against Czechia and Italy on Friday in Brno, Czech Republic. The final will take place on Saturday at 6pm at MBS Stadium in Brno. Czechia and Italy will play for third place at 2pm. After winning in the placement round on Friday Germany and France will be playing for fifth place. Israel and Great Britain will settle for the game for seventh place. Belgium and Austria are playing for ninth, while Lithuania and Ireland are in the game for eleventh place.

Czechia, Spain, Netherlands and Italy book Semi-Final Tickets at U-18 European Baseball Championship

After an off day on Wednesday as the teams moved from Hluboka and Ostrava to Brno for the remainder of the U-18 European Baseball Championship, the preliminary round ended with six games on Thursday. Undefeated Spain and Czechia as well as the Netherlands and Italy are reaching the semi-finals, which will be played on Friday.

Day 5 of the U-18 European Baseball Championship: Preview

After an off day on Wednesday the twelve participants at the U-18 European Baseball Championship have said farewell to Hluboka and Ostrava to move to Brno and Blansko for the last day of the preliminary round on Thursday as well as the final round on Friday and Saturday. In Group A and B Spain and Czechia sit atop the standings with perfect 4-0 records, but the Netherlands and France, as well as Italy and Germany still are hoping for the semi-finals as well.

Three of the five scheduled days in the preliminary round at the U-18 European Baseball Championship in the Czech Republic are played. On Monday the Netherlands and Spain from Group A in Hluboka and Germany and host Czechia from Group B in Ostrava improved to 3-0 and remained undefeated as the race for the semi-finals is heating up.
