Entries for the European Softball Massimo Romeo Youth Trophy (EMRYT) 2023 are now open, and teams have until May 15 to enter. EMRYT will take place in Collecchio, Italy, from August 16 to 19, 2023.

Teams from all over Europe are welcome to enter the 2023 EMRYT. The deadline for entries is May 15, 2023.

Established in 2012, EMRYT is the European Cup for the youngest European players - under 13 years old. The Trophy is named after Massimo Romeo, ESF Hall of Famer, who passed away on September 5, 2021, after a life dedicated to softball and its development. His legacy lives on at EMRYT.

This year, EMRYT will feature three divisions: U-13 Sport, U-13 Future, and U-11 Coach Pitch. The U-11 Coach Pitch division is a development for the tournament and for even younger players to get involved.

WBSC Europe agreed with the Collecchio Baseball and Softball Club and the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) to host EMRYT in Collecchio, Italy, until 2025. The agreement was signed at the WBSC Europe Congress 2023 in Belgrade, Serbia.

This partnership between the organizations has been crucial in the success of the EMRYT and will continue to be so in the years to come.

WBSC Europe Softball Vice President Gabriel Waage said: "It is great to see progress in EMRYT as we are finally extending categories with the U-11 Coach Pitch. I am very satisfied to have EMRYT allocated for the next three years in Collecchio, a sign of a great collaboration with FIBS.”

EMRYT is an excellent opportunity for young softball players to gain experience and develop their skills in a competitive environment.
